June 6th, 2016: Subgea → Runestar
Posted by Gravecat at 4:25 am under Game Dev, Site News. Comment?

This is just a super quick post regarding what some of you may have noticed with the banner at the top of the site changing:

The long and short of it is that the project formerly known as Subgea is now called Runestar. While I liked the name at first, I’d been discontent with it for a while now and decided it was high time for a change. I’d just like to point out that, aside from the change in name, this is the exact same game project in development. It’ll take more than a name I’m unhappy with to dislodge me from this one!

Did you think we had forgotten?

Despite a frankly embarrassing amount of addiction recently as I’ve sunk back into the inescapable tar-pit that is World of Warcraft, I’m still alive and kicking and still have a lot of things I want to post on this blog! Things have just been a bit overwhelming lately, as is usually the case for me in mid-late December, and with obligations and other stresses, this blog has kinda fallen to the sidelines.

But don’t worry, pals: I’ll be updating here again very soon.

November 28th, 2015: Site news: regarding old content
Posted by Gravecat at 6:07 pm under Site News. Comment?

Alright, time for a less fun post this time, a quick site news update regarding the state of the blog, and old content that has been ported across.

In a nutshell: if you’re used to this site being all red and you’re confused by the purple, welcome to the new blog! I was never really happy with the old one, and it’s been extremely neglected for a long time now. Because of this, I’ve decided to retire it entirely, and I’ve moved over most of the old static content — such as the Dawn of War wargear lists — from the old blog to this one, comments included. This isn’t the first time I’ve moved, and some of you may recall older blogs with different names, too. Think of moxx.net as the combined everything blog, rather than me trying to run different, more specialized blog sites.

The main reason I’m writing this post, however, is to mention that I’ve taken down the old Minecraft Random Things mod guide. The guide’s custom formatting and pop-up images were having some major issues with the new theme, the guide itself is grossly out of date and I don’t really have time to keep it updated. Rather than hanging onto a vastly outdated guide which is of increasingly little use to anyone, I’ve decided it best to just remove it entirely. Apologies to those of you who loved it like it was your own child, but it’s been outdated and neglected for a hell of a long time now.

That’s about all I have to say about site news; if anyone has any problems or notices anything blatantly broken on this new blog, please leave a comment below and I’ll look into getting it fixed ASAP!
